Happy New Year!

Well maybe it should read Happy Chinese New Year! It’s February already and I’m just getting to my first post for the new year! I hope everyone had a great holiday season. We had a great time with family over the Christmas/New Year holiday which included a trip to Disney World to celebrate New Year’s Eve. During the busy holiday season, we tried to keep up with our exercise schedule, cycling two days a week, playing as much tennis as possible and attending the Dance for PD class every week. Me, a Tennis Hero?

We met Jean Kirshenbaum when we started playing tennis here in Sarasota with a regular group twice a week.  Jean was not as mobile as some of the players but had an excellent serve and strong ground strokes and you could tell how much she enjoyed playing the game.  Jean had suffered a stoke 15 years ago but had worked hard to return to the game she loved, even if she couldn’t play at the same level she was playing at before the stroke.  Earlier this year Jean began to have problems with her gait, her balance and with freezing…
